The concert offers a journey through roots music, with jota as its central focus, approached from a contemporary and accessible perspective. The recital combines jota, Aragonese song and folk music, along with versions of repertoire linked to Aragonese music, arranged in different musical sections that bring tradition and contemporary influences into dialogue.
ABOUT THE SHOW
They will perform a program featuring the songs Flor de mayo, by La Bullonera; Tienes muchas florecicas, the Aragonese jota De Pajazo; the Aragonese jota Fiera del Ay!; the lullaby Soniando, by José Lera; the Vera de Moncayo Christmas carol Amor Baturro, a lively jota in Jacinta Bartolomé’s version; Canción de Lavadero, Bien se ve, Va delante de su madre and Asómate a la ventana, by Imperio Argentina.
They will also sing and play the instrumental grand jota from La Dolores; Canción de amor and Quién te cerrará los ojos, by José Antonio Labordeta; Despedida de los Mayos de La Codoñera, from Miguel Arnaudas’ songbook, in the Sexteto de Pardinilla’s version; La Tronada, by La Ronda de Boltaña, and will finish with the jota from Los labradores.
