From Filling 20,000-Capacity Venues to Barbastro: Polifonik 2027 Confirms Its First Artists

The announcement makes Viva Suecia the first major name in a lineup that will grow over the coming months. The Murcia band will arrive in Barbastro during the tour cycle for "Hecho en tiempos de paz", its latest release, after headlining some of the biggest concerts of its career.

They will be joined by Spangled, an indie rock group that emerged from Manchester’s music scene. The British four-piece will arrive at the festival amid its international expansion and becomes one of the first international acts confirmed for the next edition.

For Your Information, a Madrid-based band formed in 2020 and associated with post-punk, completes this first preview. The group is preparing its debut album, "Todo Este Futuro", after releasing two EPs through which it has evolved toward an increasingly darker and more atmospheric sound.

NEW DATES FOR POLIFONIK SOUND

The first announcements come just days after organizers revealed a major change to the festival calendar. The 2027 edition was initially scheduled for July 1, 2 and 3, but will ultimately take place one week earlier, on June 24, 25 and 26.

Organizers explained at the time that the change was due to logistical considerations and the makeup of the lineup itself. Passes purchased for the original dates remain valid, so those who had already bought their tickets will not need to take any additional steps.

Passes for PolifoniK Sound 2027 remain on sale through the festival’s official website. In addition, organizers warned in the announcement of the first artists that prices will rise soon, encouraging anyone planning to attend to buy their tickets before the next increase.

PolifoniK Sound will thus celebrate its 18th anniversary with Viva Suecia, Spangled and For Your Information as the first names revealed for a lineup that will continue to take shape over the coming months.
