This year, individual participants will also follow a new route through San Jorge, San Vicente de Paúl and Arcedianos, while Zaragoza City Council recommends avoiding the 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. period, when attendance is expected to be highest.
The program already includes confirmed names, venues and several important new features. From Espacio Zity to the Príncipe Felipe Pavilion, as well as the Congress Center, the Auditorium and Plaza del Pilar, these are the key details already known about the upcoming Fiestas del Pilar.
DATES: OCTOBER 10-18
The 2026 Fiestas del Pilar will begin on Saturday, October 10, with the traditional opening speech in Plaza del Pilar. Nothing is yet known about the speakers and, as is customary, they will not be announced for several more months. The main day, October 12, will fall on a Monday, while the Fruit Offering and the Glass Rosary will take place on Tuesday, October 13. The final fireworks display will bring the festivities to a close on Sunday, October 18.
CHANGES TO THE FLOWER OFFERING
The Flower Offering will once again be one of the highlights of the festivities, with organizational changes this year. Zaragoza City Council has already opened the registration period for groups, a process that can be completed until midnight on September 1.
Groups must consist of at least 20 people linked to a public or private entity with a NIF tax identification number, with a maximum of 200 participants per registration. Entities exceeding that figure will have to split into several groups. In addition, the 2026 edition will introduce random checks to verify that the number of participants matches the declared figure.
The Offering will begin at 6:30 a.m. on October 12 and will retain the usual routes along Alfonso I and Don Jaime I, according to the assigned itinerary. Individual participation will remain open and will not require prior registration, although there will be a new route this year. A specific access point is also planned for people with disabilities, reduced mobility or chronic illnesses.
THE POSTER: “THE CITY IN OFFERING”
The 2026 Fiestas del Pilar already have an official image. Zaragoza illustrator Jesana Motilva won the competition for the promotional poster with “The City in Offering,” a work that places the Flower Offering at the center of the composition.
The poster features a large green bouquet from which emerge some of the most recognizable symbols of the festivities and Zaragoza, including the Basilica of the Pillar, the Tragachicos, the Pilara, fireworks, the cachirulo and flowers. Yellow is the dominant color of the design, a choice the artist linked to excitement and light.
ESPACIO ZITY’S LINEUP IS ALMOST COMPLETE
As every year, Espacio Zity will once again host a large share of the major concerts during the Fiestas del Pilar. The Valdespartera venue already has an eclectic lineup, with performances to suit all tastes.
Myke Towers will be one of the first major attractions, performing on October 9 at 9:00 p.m. Viva Suecia will take the stage on October 10 at 10:00 p.m., and Malmö 040 will also perform that night. Sunday, October 11, will be dedicated to Blackworks, one of the key events for techno fans. On the main day, October 12, Ana Mena will get the venue dancing with “Madrid city” and “Pa ti toa.” Marina Reche will also join the lineup that day.
On October 13, Taburete, Álvaro de Luna and Hey Kid will share the bill. Two days later, on October 15, Saiko will perform, while October 16 will feature the Electrolatino Festival. On October 17, Zity’s program will conclude with Omar Courtz. A show featuring Love of Lesbian, Dorian and León Benavente has also been announced, with tickets priced at 35 euros and access included to the after-party at Espacio Zity.
LA OREJA DE VAN GOGH AND SERGIO DALMA AT THE PRÍNCIPE FELIPE
The Príncipe Felipe Pavilion will also play a prominent role in the upcoming festivities. La Oreja de Van Gogh will return to Zaragoza with Amaia Montero at the helm as part of the “Tantas cosas que contar” tour. Demand has been so high that tickets for the two announced dates, October 9 and 10, have already sold out.
The following day, October 11, it will be Sergio Dalma’s turn. He will arrive in the Aragonese capital with “Ritorno a Via Dalma,” the album on which he revisits some of the best-known Italian songs of recent history.
“THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA” COMES TO THE CONGRESS CENTER
Musical theater will also have a place during the Pilares. The Congress Center will host “The Phantom of the Opera” from October 8 to 18, one of the genre’s major titles and one of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s best-known productions. Zaragoza will be one of the stops on the musical’s first Spanish tour.
Tickets are already on sale, with prices ranging from 52 euros to 77.50 euros.
FILM MUSIC AND RYAN ADAMS AT THE AUDITORIUM
The Zaragoza Auditorium has also confirmed several events for the Fiestas del Pilar. The Mozart Hall will welcome the Royal Film Concert Orchestra with “The 10 Greatest in Film,” a concert dedicated to some of the most recognizable soundtracks in history.
In addition, Ryan Adams will perform on Thursday, October 15, as part of his “Ryan Adams Solo Europe 2026” tour, which will visit just five Spanish cities. Zaragoza will be one of them.
TRADITIONAL COMPETITIONS: JOTA, ARAGONESE COSTUMES AND FLOWERS
Beyond the major concerts, traditional competitions are also getting underway. Zaragoza City Council has published the rules for the 140th Official Aragonese Jota Competition, the 40th Benjamín, Children’s and Youth Aragonese Jota Competition, the 11th Flowers, Baskets and Floral Arrangements Contest, and the 14th Aragonese Costume Contest.
For the jota competitions, registrations will be completed exclusively online from July 13 to 23. The qualifying rounds of the Official Competition will take place on September 19 and 20 at the Luis Galve Hall in the Auditorium, the semifinals will be held on October 3 and 4, and the grand final will take place on October 11 at the Mozart Hall.
The Flowers, Baskets and Floral Arrangements Contest and the Aragonese Costume Contest will be held during the Flower Offering on October 12.
YOUTH ENTERTAINMENT: THE VIRAL LIGHT PARTY RETURNS
The 2026 Fiestas del Pilar will once again feature the Viral Light Party, an event exclusively aimed at young people aged 14 to 17. It will take place on October 11 in the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Zaragoza Auditorium, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight.
Admission includes access to the venue, two non-alcoholic drinks and participation in the scheduled activities. This year there will be more music, entertainment, makeup, costumes, challenges, games and team activities. The first tickets went on sale for 6 euros, with later prices of 8 euros in advance and 10 euros at the box office if tickets remain.
A PROGRAMME STILL TAKING SHAPE
Even so, much remains to be revealed about the 2026 Fiestas del Pilar. The full program will be announced later, and new concerts, street activities, family events, traditional celebrations and details about some of the main festival venues are still to come. What is clear is that Zaragoza has already begun the countdown to the most eagerly awaited days of the year.
