Carolina y los Alisios is made up of vocalist Carolina Ferrer and string players Jesús Bellosta and Paul den Holder. "Let's seek beauty" is the motto of these three Aragonese musicians with diverse roots (Hispanic-Brazilian, Hispanic-Dutch and Pyrenean) when they come together to play the first notes as Carolina y los Alisios. Drawing on a collective imagination, their songs revisit the verses and melodies of Federico García Lorca, Consuelito Vasquez, Chavela Vargas, Los Panchos and Caetano Veloso, among others.

Isla Kume, meanwhile, consists of Andrés Campos and Laura Sorribas, graduates of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragón (CSMA), who reinvent Iberian folk music through electronics, creating a sound universe where tradition vibrates alongside modern beats.

CONCERT IN MONTÓN

This Sunday, Orquesta Aragonia will give a concert at the church in Montón. The orchestra was founded in late 2001 in Zaragoza out of a desire to make music together. Since then, that has been the orchestra's driving force and the reason for its continued existence.

Because its lineup does not follow a fixed format, much of the repertoire it performs needs to be adapted. At the same time, this allows the orchestra to approach very different works and build programs open to diverse eras, styles and musical languages, always seeking to remain faithful to the spirit of each work and the composer's intentions.

As Aragonia celebrates its 25th anniversary, this concert brings together part of the journey it has made. The first half focuses mainly on Spanish music; the second opens up to other sounds and evocations, ranging from tango and waltz to film music. Overall, the program offers a varied musical journey, designed to share very different works with the audience and enjoy them together.
