This autumn’s program once again lives up to the nickname “Cycle of Diverse Music.” Over six Thursdays between October and December, the stage will host a wide range of acts, from electronic music and psychedelia to post-punk, cumbia and contemporary folk.
After Las Lloronas, Le Parody will arrive on November 5 with a blend of pop, electronic music and roots. On November 12, it will be the turn of Geologist, the project of Brian Weitz, a member of Animal Collective, with a sound shaped by experimentation and psychedelia.
On November 19, Lucha Luna will bring a mix of cumbia, punk and electronic music to the stage, with dancing also serving as a form of resistance. On November 26, Michel Cloup, a regular on the series, will perform his visceral and magnetic rock. Finally, Inés de Lis will close this edition on December 3 with a repertoire that moves between folk and indietronica.
"Our way of celebrating these fifteen years is with a new edition that we have prepared with as much excitement and affection as if it were the first," the organizers say. They also explain that, to thank audiences for their support "throughout this journey," passes for this new edition will include a commemorative tote bag as a gift. Bombo y Platillo was founded in Zaragoza in 2011 and has since maintained a very clear philosophy: to champion intimate concerts, unconventional acts and artists who are difficult to fit into rigid categories.
