The fire broke out shortly before noon and prompted the deployment of a major emergency response. Zaragoza firefighters received the alert at 11:50 a.m. and deployed 15 personnel, two water tenders, an aerial ladder truck, a tank, an ambulance and a command vehicle to control and extinguish the flames.

The scale of the smoke has made the fire visible from numerous points across Zaragoza.
