Very serious offences are those that can incur fines of up to €3,000. This category includes vandalism against municipal infrastructure and street furniture, graffiti made with particularly aggressive materials, the uncontrolled dumping of waste, the organization of illegal mass events and illegal street vending. The ordinance also provides for harsher penalties when the damage affects assets declared to be of cultural interest.
UP TO €1,500 FOR STREET DRINKING OR BACHELOR PARTIES
Serious offences can incur fines of up to €1,500. They include conduct such as street drinking, arranging or providing paid sexual services in public spaces, certain bachelor parties that seriously disrupt community life, and insults or humiliation in public thoroughfares.
Less serious offences carry fines of up to €750. This category includes actions such as urinating or spitting in the street, throwing cigarette butts or rubbish on the ground, failing to clean up after animals, tampering with waste containers, or abandoning bicycles and scooters in public thoroughfares. It also includes using sound systems on public transport when they disturb people's rest or community life.
