The program for the final quarter of the year increases the number of places by 8% compared with the same period in 2025, when 445 were offered. In total, 743 hours of training will be provided, in addition to the 450 places and 33 courses organized during the first quarter.
HOW TO ENROLL IN CASA DE LA MUJER COURSES
The application period will open on September 15 at 9:00 a.m. and remain available until the 16th. Applications can be submitted through the municipal website, by calling 619 123 232 or in person at Casa de la Mujer, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Each person may apply for a maximum of two courses.
The program is divided into three areas. The Employability section includes 14 courses, 191 places and 391 hours; Equality and Co-responsibility brings together nine courses, 128 places and 166 hours; and Information Technology has 11 courses, 165 places and 186 hours.
LOGISTICS, WEB DESIGN AND TRADES AMONG THE NEW COURSES
One of the main additions is the “Traffic, Transport and Warehouse Management” course, which will be held at the facilities of the Sesé Foundation in the Plaza industrial park. The initiative aims to introduce students to job opportunities in the logistics and freight transport sectors, which are particularly important in Zaragoza.
The “Web Design and Online Store” and “Sound Editing with Audacity” courses will also be offered for the first time. They will join programs that received positive feedback in previous editions, such as A1 Sign Language, with an official European certificate; order preparation through picking; basic electricity and plumbing; overhead crane operation and forklift handling.
Marian Orós, the city councillor for Social Policies and Equality, explained that these courses provide a first introduction to different professions. “The best way to make progress toward greater independence and guarantee equality between men and women is to have a range of employment opportunities,” she said.
COURSES ON AI, CANVA, COOKING AND HOME REPAIRS
The Equality and Co-responsibility area will include “Introduction to Everyday Cooking,” aimed at men to promote the sharing of household tasks, and “Basic Home Repairs,” intended for women. Both will be offered twice due to the high number of applications received, while “Consumer Affairs and Complaints” will be open to both men and women.
To help reduce the digital divide, “Job Searching with AI and Digital Tools” and “Presentations with Canva” will be offered for the first time. The program is rounded out by highly popular courses on computer basics, office software and intermediate-level Excel.
Places will be allocated through a draw on September 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Casa de la Mujer. Those selected will receive an email and must confirm their attendance by the 28th. Any remaining vacancies may be requested from September 29 through the municipal website.
