“I would like to invite everyone in Zaragoza to attend,” said Social Policies Councillor Marian Orós, who also called for greater visibility for mental health problems and stressed the importance of self-care and paying attention to emotional wellbeing.
MUCH MORE THAN A WALK
The initiative is being held to mark World Suicide Prevention Day, which is commemorated next September 10. “It is not just a walk. We will also have workshops and talks throughout the morning,” the councillor explained, highlighting the event’s educational and awareness-raising purpose.
From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Parque Grande will become a meeting point for raising awareness of and caring for mental health. The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m., starting and finishing at the Puente de los Cantautores, and will last approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
