Over those seven days, 66,523 users made purchases worth €19,372,000. The figure is approximately €2.2 million higher than during the 2025 Back-to-School campaign, when sales reached €17,188,000, representing an increase of nearly 12.7%.
Carlos Gimeno, Zaragoza City Council's councillor for the Economy, Digital Transformation and Transparency, highlighted the results of an initiative aimed at promoting purchases at local businesses in the city.
The September campaign follows the first edition of Volveremos held this year, which took place last June. Together, the program's sales in 2026 total €34,915,000.
In addition, 84,500 unique users have made at least one purchase linked to Volveremos at participating stores since the beginning of the year.
MORE THAN 2,100 STORES HAVE REGISTERED SALES
The program's reach is also reflected in the number of participating businesses. More than 2,100 stores in Zaragoza have registered at least one sale linked to Volveremos during 2026.
"The fact that more than 2,100 businesses have registered a sale linked to the program this year demonstrates the reach of this initiative and its ability to generate activity for small businesses," Gimeno said.
€1.7 MILLION STILL TO BE SPENT
The campaigns' impact will continue over the coming months through the balance accumulated by users in the app's digital wallets. According to municipal data, €1.7 million is still available to spend at participating stores.
So far in 2026, €801,420 from these digital wallets has been used. The remaining balance can be spent on purchases until December 31, when the spending period ends.
Zaragoza City Council says the planning of the different campaigns is carried out in coordination with the city's retail representatives. Since the end of 2025, the municipal government has held meetings with the sector to establish the program's schedule and concentrate the campaigns in periods considered particularly important for consumers and businesses.
With the results of the Back-to-School campaign, Volveremos has now generated €34.9 million in sales during 2026, with more than 84,500 buyers and over 2,100 businesses having registered at least one transaction linked to the program.
