Likewise, the provincial council is maintaining both the three-million-euro budget and the allocation criteria applied last year, with special attention to municipalities with smaller populations. Through this aid, the provincial institution aims to strengthen public services while also creating jobs and economic activity in rural areas.
SOFTWARE PROGRAMS AND E-GOVERNMENT
Expenses related to accounting, inventory or municipal population register software may also be included, as may applications intended to implement or improve e-government. Energy supplies and public lighting are excluded, as they are covered by a specific plan.
Finally, it should be clarified that the provincial council already modified the distribution criteria for these funds in 2025 to prioritize the smallest municipalities, a policy that will continue under the 2026 call for applications.
