Sports Councilor Félix Brocate gave a positive assessment of a season that ended without any significant incidents. The councilor highlighted that the pools have become essential spaces for exercising, enjoying leisure time and coping with the heat during the summer months.
Attendance was particularly high in July, when 416,912 visits were recorded, 28.9% more than in 2025. June began with lower figures, with 306,476 visits, while August ended with 277,360. In addition, during the first week of September, the four pools that remained open—La Granja, Delicias, Alberto Maestro and Actur—recorded 23,282 visits, almost twice as many as during the same period last year.
NUMEROUS HEATWAVES CONTRIBUTED TO THE RISE IN ATTENDANCE

The hottest days played an important role in these figures. The City Council offered discounts on 28 days, a record number, coinciding with the activation of the Municipal Emergency Plan for heatwaves. During those days, 410,499 visits were recorded, averaging 14,661 per day—55.3% more attendance than during the rest of the season. La Granja was once again the most popular pool, with 129,706 visits, followed by Actur, Delicias and Alberto Maestro.
Brocate also highlighted the positive reception of the new rules on public conduct, such as limiting alcohol consumption to designated areas and discouraging the use of loudspeakers. These measures aim to create calmer, more pleasant spaces for everyone. Zaragoza currently has 22 municipal summer pools distributed across its districts and rural neighborhoods, a network that will also expand with the future municipal sports centers in La Almozara and Distrito Sur.
