At the end of the Mass, the image of Our Lady of Sorrows will leave the parish church to tour several surrounding streets in a procession featuring various marches and stops along the route.

The events will, however, begin earlier, this Thursday, September 10, with a benefit recital at the parish church.
THE PROGRAMME BEGINS ON THURSDAY WITH A BENEFIT RECITAL
Zaragoza’s Montemolín neighborhood is preparing to celebrate events in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows, a programme combining music, Aragonese tradition and devotion, with the parish church named after the patron saint serving as its main venue.
The programme will begin this Thursday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m., with a recital at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish by Pablo Pérez Clergas and Noel Rotelar Cortés. The concert will also be held as a benefit event to help those affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia.
The musical programme will be divided into three parts, featuring solo piano, voice and piano, and violin and piano. The repertoire includes works by composers such as Clementi, Beethoven, Piazzolla, Galos, Guastavino, Scarlatti, Rodrigo, Donizetti, Vivaldi, Mozart, Sarasate and Monti.
BATURRA MASS AND PROCESSION
The events will continue this Saturday, September 12, when one of the central days of the celebration will take place. At 7:30 p.m., Our Lady of Sorrows Parish will host a Baturra Mass featuring singers Merche Aranda and Luis Pérez, accompanied by Jesús Recio’s rondalla.
The Baturra Mass will also be held on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The procession of Our Lady of Sorrows of Montemolín will then leave from the church itself, passing through different streets in the neighborhood before returning to the parish church.
The procession will set out from Our Lady of Sorrows Church and continue along Calle del Privilegio de la Unión, with a first stop at Plaza Pintor Fermín Aguayo. It will then proceed along Hermanos Adolfo, Belchite, Doctor Iranzo and Colegiata de Bolea, where another stop is planned.
From there, the procession will continue along María de Aragón, Francisco de Quevedo, Camino Cabaldos and Monasterio de Poblet before finally returning to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, according to the route planned by the organizers.
The route will be accompanied by various processional marches, including pieces such as El Sacramento de Nuestra Fe, Tu Dulce Rostro, Cautivo, Reina de Reyes, Oh, Pecador, Nuestro Señor and Pilar de Pasión, as well as the National Anthem when leaving and returning to the church.
