The City Council aims for the property to resume fully industrial use and help generate economic activity and employment in the city. The facility has 2,090.72 square meters of usable space and 2,160 built square meters, on a 3,376-square-meter plot.
Monzón Mayor Isaac Claver explained that the City Council acquired the facility in 2008, and it was subsequently leased to Informática El Corte Inglés and Inetum. The latter reduced its occupancy to part of the property, so the City Council is now opting to sell it in order to make use of the entire space.
CONDITIONS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER
The sale will take place by auction, and companies involved in light industrial activities that can demonstrate they have staff to work in person at the facility may participate. The successful bidder must launch its business project within a maximum period of one year, with the possibility of an additional one-year extension subject to prior municipal authorization.
In addition, the buyer must obtain the necessary authorizations and licenses and may not sell the facility during the ten years following the signing of the deed without authorization from the City Council. If it wishes to do so, the City Council may exercise a pre-emption right over the property.
