It all happened this Wednesday at around 8:30 p.m., when the Local Police received a report about a lost dog on Camino de las Cruces. A patrol went to the location and checked its microchip, making it possible to identify the owner and find out that he was abroad.
Since the owner could not come in person, officers activated the protocol for the animal to be taken to the provincial pound. However, a trusted person acting on the owner's behalf arrived in time to take charge of the dog, ultimately preventing its transfer. The Local Police used the incident to remind residents of the importance of microchips in facilitating the identification of lost animals.
OTHER INCIDENTS IN HUESCA: ONE ARRESTED FOR DRINK-DRIVING
The night also saw two other interventions by the Local Police related to drinking and driving. Officers observed irregular driving by two vehicles and subjected their drivers to the relevant tests, with different results: one was issued an administrative penalty, while the other was arrested.
The latter recorded a level of 0.68 milligrams of alcohol per liter of exhaled air and was arrested on suspicion of an offense against road safety. The Local Police once again reminded the public that the only safe blood alcohol level when driving is 0.00 and that drinking alcohol, even in small amounts, reduces reaction times and endangers both the driver and other road users.
