The reopening retains the name that made the venue one of the neighborhood’s most recognizable bars, but introduces important changes. Nicolás Reyes and Dairon Ricaurte are taking charge of this new chapter, intending to give the establishment a new lease of life without completely abandoning the identity of the former Gallo.
A NEW CONCEPT FOR BAR GALLO
The venue is now presented as a gastrobar, with a refreshed aesthetic and a different food offering. The distinctive Gallo sign remains on the façade, one of the elements that makes the establishment recognizable despite the transformation of its interior.
The new chapter is built around a more cosmopolitan concept and the incorporation of new flavors, while maintaining its connection to the neighborhood. The arrival of the new owners had been announced in recent weeks through the establishment’s social media accounts, where part of the venue’s transformation had been revealed.
Bar Gallo closed in November 2025 after more than six decades of history. Its disappearance left a void among La Magdalena regulars, especially residents who had turned the venue into one of their meeting places.
Now, the establishment is welcoming customers again with a different project and new management. The full food offering for this new chapter has not yet been publicly announced, so for now, diners will have to visit the venue to discover the dishes and prices that will make up its menu.
The renovated Bar Gallo thus opens a new page in the history of a venue that had been part of La Magdalena’s hospitality scene for decades.
