The elder brother, Alejandro Álvarez Longines, highlighted the spiritual nature of these days, conceived as an opportunity to pause the daily routine and turn one's gaze toward Mary. "The triduum is intended as a time to put Mary at the center once again, not only as the Brotherhood's titular image, but as a Mother and example for all Christians," he said. During these days, the image presides over a carefully arranged altar installed at Santa Mónica with various elements from the canopy float.
The arrangement includes the side panels and front section of the float, the latter presided over by the image of the Virgen del Rocío, while María Santísima del Dulce Nombre is elevated on her small pedestal and surrounded by candleholders. The ensemble is completed by floral decorations consisting of white roses, Cool Water roses and Naomi red roses, as well as baby's breath, gramaje and fern leaves, distributed among the float's flower vases.
The triduum also has a charitable dimension. During these days, the brotherhood will collect biscuits, cocoa powder and milk in collaboration with the Hermandad del Refugio of Zaragoza, as part of its charitable and social outreach efforts.
RELIGIOUS PROGRAM
Thursday, September 10. At 8:00 p.m., the solemn Eucharist will be celebrated by the Very Illustrious José Antonio Calvo, the Pilar's Delegate for Worship and Pastoral Care. The offering will be made by the Bearer Brothers of the Blessed Virgin and will feature musical accompaniment from the Brotherhood Choir.
Friday, September 11. At 8:00 p.m., the solemn Eucharist will be celebrated by the Reverend Father Carolus Asensio, parish priest of Santa Rita. The offering will be made by the line brothers and mantilla sisters, accompanied by the Casa Andalucía group Nostalgia Andaluza.
Saturday, September 12. On the occasion of the Feast of the Sweet Name of Mary, the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m., followed at 8:30 p.m. by the solemn Eucharist, celebrated by the Reverend Fernando Vallejo Agreda of Nuestra Señora del Pilar Parish. The offering and musical accompaniment will be provided by the Instruments section. The solemn kissing of the image will take place at the end.
