The incident has not disrupted the drinking water supply. Miguel Servet Hospital continues to have guaranteed service through several connections, and access to outpatient consultations and the general emergency area is also assured. The work will take several days because of the complexity of the repair and the difficulties involved in bringing in the necessary machinery.
The project will also take advantage of the intervention to install a new connection valve between Isabel la Católica and Gonzalo de Calamita. The aim is to strengthen the hospital’s water supply guarantees and improve its ability to respond to possible future incidents.
HOW CARS, TAXIS AND AMBULANCES CAN ACCESS THE HOSPITAL
Private vehicles and taxis will be able to reach the hospital area when traveling toward the city center. However, those arriving from the center in the direction of Zaragoza’s exit will have to continue to the Toulouse roundabout on the Z-30 and turn back to access this area.
Emergency vehicles will be guaranteed access by turning across the tram tracks. Mobility officials and the Local Police have planned measures to facilitate traffic at the intersection and minimize disruption while the tunnel remains closed.
