This is the case, for example, with the access road to Centenero, where the passage of trucks and machinery has damaged the pavement, ditches and slopes. On this road, the work will involve resurfacing a 1,850-metre-long section measuring three metres wide. Around 100 metres of ditch will also be rebuilt, and the slopes will be reprofiled.
As for the access road to Osia, the narrowness of the drainage structure made it necessary to bend the metal barriers on the right-hand side so that heavy machinery could pass. To prevent this situation from happening again, the Provincial Council will extend the drainage structure, realign the road, replace the metal barriers on both sides and clear the watercourse.
The Provincial Council will also carry out work on the access road to Botaya from the A-1603. The entire route, which runs along very steep slopes, was affected by the wildfire, which destroyed all the vegetation and left the significant drops exposed, creating a considerable sense of insecurity.
In addition, the flames melted the pictograms on the vertical signs, rendering them unusable. To address these problems, new containment systems (bionda-type barriers) will be installed on the sides where there is a risk of falling, and all the vertical signage will be replaced.
Finally, the access road to Alastuey from the N-240 has suffered damage similar to that in Botaya, so the sides will also be protected with bionda-type barriers and the vertical signage will be replaced. In addition, the passage of heavy vehicles caused the road to lose support, making it necessary to build a 10-metre-long, four-metre-high riprap wall. Sections of lined ditch will also be built at the steepest points.
