The open day allowed numerous residents to see the result of the renovation and tour the new facilities. During the morning, attendees were able to visit the classrooms and the building’s various spaces, which have been adapted to the needs of modern education.
The renovation involved a comprehensive refurbishment of the property to turn it into an accessible educational space adapted to its new uses. The work included improvements to the building’s accessibility and energy efficiency.
AFTER ALMOST 20 YEARS, THE BUILDING RETURNS TO EDUCATIONAL USE
The building had been unused for nearly two decades and now once again serves an educational purpose. Fraga City Council sees the reopening as a way to expand the training opportunities available to young people in the municipality and the surrounding area.
Fraga Mayor Ignacio Gramún highlighted during the event that the project has made it possible to recover a historic building that had been closed for years. “The reopening of this space represents a fundamental milestone for Fraga, as we are recovering a historic building that had been unused for almost 20 years and placing it at the service of education, talent and the professional development of our young people and the Fraga business community,” he said.
With the opening of the new center, the town will have a renovated space for vocational training while also returning a long-unused property to the community.
