The program includes talks, exhibitions, guided tours, children’s workshops, shows, concerts and traditional activities such as the procession of the cabezudos, accompanied by the Gaiteros del Rabal. This year’s new features include the first Balcony and Window Decoration Contest using recycled materials, an initiative open to neighborhood residents that aims to fill their façades with creativity and give objects and materials a second life, with a 100-euro prize to be spent at local businesses.
The week will also highlight El Arrabal’s heritage and history, with activities related to the Ebro River, the Old Town and the Ecce Homo Brotherhood, which is commemorating 75 years of processions through the neighborhood with an exhibition at the Estación del Norte Civic Center. It will leave from San Gregorio Square and travel along Sixto Celorrio, Valle de Zuriza, the Estación Norte esplanade, Ruiz Castillo, Sobrarbe and Sixto Celorrio, ending back at San Gregorio Square.
