One of the main changes will affect Cardenal Cisneros Street, which will end in a dead end and operate in both directions. Batalla de Lepanto will also be affected, as it will be closed at its intersection with Doctor Iranzo and will no longer be accessible along its entire length. Drivers will need to take this new layout into account while the work continues.
Public transport services will maintain their routes, except for bus line 44. From this Monday until the work is completed, buses heading toward Miraflores Station will travel from Paseo Echegaray y Caballero via Fray Luis Urbano, María de Aragón and Francisco de Quevedo, avoiding Doctor Iranzo.
CHANGES TO BUS 44 STOPS
The detour will mean the removal of four stops on line 44: Doctor Iranzo 90, next to the Las Fuentes Norte Health Center; Doctor Iranzo 61; Doctor Iranzo 37; and Doctor Iranzo 15, near Belchite. Four new stops will be added along the alternative route to offset these changes.
Passengers will be able to use the new stops at Paseo Echegaray and Doctor Iranzo, Fray Luis Urbano and Madrina Salas, Fray Luis Urbano and Rodrigo Rebolledo, and Fray Luis Urbano 56. In this way, the City Council will maintain line 44 service in the district, although buses will follow an alternative route while Doctor Iranzo remains closed.
