Aragon’s Minister of Economy, Competitiveness and Employment, Eva Valle, visited the facilities and highlighted the project’s strategic importance for Teruel. The investment has received €9.85 million in regional incentives to support new productive investments and job creation.
200 JOBS BY THE END OF 2027
The factory is dedicated to producing flat-pack kitchen furniture and occupies 37,000 square meters within a 145,000-square-meter site. After completing construction and an initial phase of machinery installation, the company is now working to fine-tune its production processes and gradually increase capacity.
For the minister, the company’s project “will create quality jobs, foster innovation and increase the competitiveness of Teruel’s industry, which is essential for the region.”
Aratea Venture is a company created by Grupo Finsa, which specializes in industrial wood processing, and French group Adeo, owner of brands such as Leroy Merlin and Obramat. Both companies have operated and maintained a presence in Aragon for years.
WOOD FROM CELLA
One of the project’s key features is its connection to the Grupo Finsa plant in Cella, also in Teruel province. The wood panel used as the main raw material at the Platea factory comes from there, helping reduce transportation and strengthen a production chain linked to the region itself.
The proximity between the two plants, together with Adeo’s distribution and sales network, makes it possible to keep a significant part of the process in Aragon, from wood processing to furniture manufacturing and subsequent marketing.
AUTOMATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
The plant also incorporates advanced automation and energy-efficiency systems to make better use of raw materials and reduce its environmental impact. The company uses wood with PEFC and FSC certifications, which verify that it comes from sustainably managed sources, and is committed to processes that help reduce its carbon footprint.
