The facility will be located alongside the N-211, toward Alcañiz and around eight kilometers from Caspe. Its activity will focus on transforming organic waste, mainly from livestock farming and the agri-food industry, into biomethane, a renewable gas that can be used in existing natural gas networks.
NEARLY 20 DIRECT JOBS
The project is expected to create nearly 20 direct jobs and another 35 indirect positions related to activities such as transportation, maintenance, logistics and specialized services. The Town Council has been working on the initiative since June 2024 through its Urban Planning Department.
€40 MILLION IN CLEAN ENERGY PROJECTS
It will be the second clean energy plant announced in the municipality, alongside the one promoted by BIORIG. Together, the two initiatives represent around €40 million in investment and approximately 40 direct and 80 indirect jobs for Caspe.
Mayor Ana Jarque said the investment was “excellent news for Caspe,” while Urban Planning Councillor José Miguel Albiac noted that it would help continue advancing job creation and an economic model linked to green energy and the circular economy.
