The warning, posted at the beginning of this week in a neighborhood Facebook group, has caused concern and outrage among pet owners in the area. The resident alerted others to what had happened, including an image of the tampered food, and urged fellow owners to exercise extreme caution during walks.
Residents were quick to react. "I hope people capable of doing this suffer until the last day of their lives," one neighbor wrote. Another user added: "I hope I don't find out who is putting them there, because then whoever it is will swallow them," while another called those who might be behind the placement of the food "murderers."
THE DOG HAS RECOVERED
After the scare, the owner shared another image in the group showing that her dog had recovered and wanted to thank people for their support. "I would like to thank everyone who has shown interest in my dog's recovery," she wrote.
The resident also expressed hope that whoever placed the food containing nails can be identified. "I trust they will find whoever is responsible and that this will not happen again," she added in her message.
