The affected section is in northern Zaragoza, within the city itself. To put it simply, it is the part of the A-2 used by many drivers to bypass the capital. From there, continuing towards Madrid, the motorway then leads to towns such as La Muela, Epila and Calatayud.
CLOSURES FROM FRIDAY TO SUNDAY
The restrictions will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, and are scheduled to end at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20. During those hours, there will be lane closures, complete road closures and some exits will remain closed. Drivers will have to follow the signposted detours.
In the opposite direction, towards Barcelona, the A-2 continues from Zaragoza towards municipalities such as La Puebla de Alfindén and Alfajarín. As a result, those traveling from these towns towards Zaragoza or seeking to cross the city on their way to Madrid may encounter traffic congestion or detours.
A €4.3 MILLION PROJECT
The work involves removing the most deteriorated layer of asphalt and laying a new road surface. The project is part of the rehabilitation works on Zaragoza’s Ronda Norte being carried out by the Ministry of Transport, with a total investment of €4.3 million.
