The event will take place at Espacio Ibercaja Xplora, at 2 Plaza Paraíso, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on November 3, bringing together representatives of public administrations, universities, technology centers, waste managers and industrial companies. The aim is to share the progress made during Redol’s four years of work, analyze the challenges facing the circular economy in Aragon and explore solutions that can be transferred to the business sector.
A PROGRAM FOCUSED ON CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. with participant registration. Following a welcome address by Andrés Llombart, CEO of Circe, several technical discussions will take place among specialists from institutions, companies and research centers.
The sessions will address waste management in Zaragoza, the role of research in circular economy policies, the future of paper and cardboard recycling, and material recovery as a key element in advancing toward more sustainable production models. They will also examine opportunities for Aragon and solutions that can be transferred to industry through the circular economy and industrial symbiosis.
Participants will include representatives from the University of Zaragoza, Aittp, Saica Natur, Acciona, Urbaser, Cemex, Circlear and Iclei, as well as Circe and Zaragoza City Council. The planned format combines presentations by two speakers in discussions lasting approximately 15 minutes, with the aim of offering complementary perspectives from research, public administration and business.
The institutional closing session will take place at 12:00 p.m., led by Tatiana Gaudes, Zaragoza City Council’s councillor for the Environment and Mobility. Attendees will then be able to take part in a networking session. Participation in the event is free, subject to prior registration through the project’s website.
