The draw will take place at 9:00 a.m. during an extraordinary plenary session and will be conducted using a computerized procedure. A total of 14,720 Zaragoza residents will be selected from an electoral roll of 515,411 people. The selection will cover the 920 polling stations to be distributed among the 136 polling places set up in the Aragonese capital.
Therefore, anyone who wants to find out whether they have been selected will need to keep an eye on their mailbox in the days following the draw. The city council expects to deliver the notifications between November 5 and 10. There will be no public list where people can check the names of those selected, as the results will be communicated directly to the appointees.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU RECEIVE THE NOTIFICATION
If selected, citizens should bear in mind that serving as a member of a polling station board is mandatory, unless one of the justified grounds for exemption set out in the regulations applies. Those selected will have a maximum of seven days from their appointment to submit appeals to the District Electoral Board.
Applications may be submitted in person at the offices of the District Electoral Board, located at 89 José Atarés Avenue, in the Fueros de Aragón building, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. They may also be sent by email to alegaciones.jezz@justicia.aragon.es.
At each of the 920 polling stations, one president, two deputy presidents, two members, four alternate members and seven reserves will be appointed. Of the 14,720 residents selected, the final appointments will include 920 presidents and 1,840 members, as well as their corresponding alternates and reserves, to ensure that all polling stations are properly constituted on Sunday, November 29.
