"We have to take it one game at a time. We have a tough schedule, especially at the start, and in the end we have to be cautious because it is a very difficult league and the teams promoted from Primera FEB are increasingly well prepared," said the Mallorcan point guard, who has returned to the Aragonese capital almost ten years later with the personal goal of "continuing to grow and helping the team in every way."
Nevertheless, García highlighted "the good feelings" being generated during preseason by a team featuring "practically 90% new players." "We have been improving with players who arrived a little later because of national-team commitments. We are working very well, we have competed in every game as we wanted to, and we are really looking forward to getting started," said the point guard, who described their final friendly against UCAM Murcia as "a test that will show us where we are right now before the season begins."
In this way, the Balearic player returns eight years later to the structure of an Aragonese club that has undergone numerous changes since his departure: "The club has evolved a lot and grown in many areas. I think it is establishing itself as one of the most important teams in Spain, and hopefully I can now contribute my bit to help it continue to consolidate its position."
HIS ROLE IN THE TEAM
For now, García has had less playing time during preseason in a role he accepts within the red-and-white team. "I may not be playing in the positions I would like to or be used to playing these minutes, but I think the role I have this year will be a little different, allowing me to contribute in many ways," admitted the point guard, who believes he can "grow a lot with this team," while trying to "help the team in every way possible and, above all, help it win."
