Fingall's first experience in the WNBA, where she made her debut this summer, has therefore come to an early end. The American forward-center, who will begin her second season with Casademont this year after renewing her contract for another campaign last March, joined the Golden State Valkyries in June but saw very little playing time.
The Casademont player, a key figure in Carlos Cantero's system, averaged 1.1 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game while playing only a few minutes per contest. Now, following her departure, the American will return to Zaragoza at the beginning of this week so she can join Carlos Cantero's squad as soon as possible and help the team next Saturday in the Super Cup semifinal against Valencia Basket.
HER REPLACEMENT, A FORMER CASADEMONT PLAYER
Indeed, the San Francisco franchise has chosen another familiar face from the Rojilla faithful to replace Fingall as the season approaches its playoff stage. Aminata Gueye will join the Valkyries after leaving the club this summer. Following a strong season in the Aragonese capital, the French center exercised her buyout clause to avoid fulfilling the second year of her contract and has signed for next season with a Prague team, which she will join once her American adventure ends.
