He was also asked about his age. At 34, he has had a long career. And he acknowledged as much. “In football, it is more than just a number, but I always say that what matters is the age of your enthusiasm, and mine is at its highest. The group is young, with players from the club, which is important. Having different age groups makes us richer,” he said.

Another issue, indirectly linked to this, is his physical condition. After becoming a free agent on June 30 when his contract with Real Racing ended, he trained on his own throughout the summer. That was how he waited for his opportunity, which Real Zaragoza has now given him.
“The rest of the players have completed preseason. I have spoken with the coach about integrating gradually, but after two sessions I feel good. I hope to be 100% as soon as possible, but I am always available to the coach,” he said.
