Berdejo will be one of 36 players on the list named by U-17 coach David Tenorio for a series of training sessions combined with technical talks and some small-sided matches between the internationals, which will take place in Alfaz del Pi from September 14 to 17.
In this way, Berdejo will gain another experience during a season in which he is establishing himself as one of the key players in the Real Zaragoza academy. Although he is in his first year at youth level, the centre-back has trained with the first team and made his debut in the friendly match between the Aragonese side and Numancia during pre-season.
In addition, Berdejo established himself during pre-season as an important part of the defence of Deportivo Aragón, who will fight this season to return to the Segunda Federación. The young defender, who will be part of the Zaragoza club’s reserve-team setup this season, played 89 minutes in Real Zaragoza B’s Tercera debut, which ended in a 1-2 victory for the visitors at Tamarite.

In October, from the 12th to the 18th, Spain’s U-18 team will begin competing. It will be in Round 1 of the 2027 European Championship in the category, where they will face Switzerland, Israel and Liechtenstein, with the latter hosting the mini-tournament. It remains to be seen whether Berdejo can reach those heights as well.
