Below them, with seven points, are Atlético Madrileño, after thrashing Real Murcia (4-0), Real Jaén, who secured a narrow win in Teruel (0-1), and Nàstic de Tarragona, who opened the round with a victory over Algeciras (4-2).
Further down are the teams with six points in their tally. Alongside Real Zaragoza are Real Murcia and Ibiza, who beat Sant Andreu (2-0) and occupy the final playoff place on goal difference. Precisely one point behind these three teams are Cartagena, who drew with Sant Andreu (1-1) and will visit Ibercaja Estadio next matchday.
With four points are Real Madrid Castilla, who lost to Águilas, who also have four points in their tally (1-0), Antequera, who drew at home against Alcorcón (1-1), and Huesca, who are not inspiring much confidence after their heavy defeat by the Yellow Submarine's reserve side.
TERUEL IN THE RELEGATION ZONE
At the bottom of the table, safety stands at three points, with Alcorcón, Sant Andreu and Hércules, who secured their first win of the season by beating Europa away from home (1-2). That points total creates a gap above the relegation zone, where teams have just one point or none at all.
Rayo Majadahonda, Juventud de Torremolinos, Europa and Teruel, all with one point, and Algeciras, who have lost every match, occupy the red zone of the standings. These five teams, excluding Alcorcón, who have drawn all three of their matches, are still waiting for their first win.
