Zaragoza will once again become the setting for a major sporting event that will bring together women of widely varying backgrounds and ages. Participants will be able to complete the course by running or walking alongside friends, family members and colleagues in an event that promotes physical activity and healthy lifestyles, while also championing women’s role and raising awareness of various social causes.
The city will host this new edition after a historic event in 2025, when the Women’s Race brought together 15,000 participants, consolidating its status as one of the circuit’s largest events.
The Zaragoza race will be the seventh stop on the 2026 national circuit, following events in Gran Canaria, Madrid, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Valencia and Gijón, as well as the event scheduled in A Coruña on September 27. After its stop in the Aragonese capital, the circuit will continue to Seville on November 15 and conclude the season in Barcelona on November 22.
SOCIAL COMMITMENT
Social commitment will also be reflected through the +SolidariAs section, which in Zaragoza will feature Somos Más, Mujeres Sobrevivientes de la Violencia Machista among its main projects. The Aragonese association was founded and is led by women who have experienced gender-based violence. As in recent editions, 100% charity race bibs will also be sold in support of AMAC-GEMA, the Association of Aragonese Women with Genital and Breast Cancer.
The Women’s Race remains committed to women’s health, research and rights. In 2025, the circuit allocated 20% of registration revenue to social causes, a commitment that will continue in 2026. Details can be consulted on its transparency portal.
