Although her national team failed to win a game at the World Cup, Voracková once again demonstrated her importance and status within the Czech team. The Czech Republic lost to Italy (54-63), China (74-70) and the United States (105-64) in the group stage, although the Casademont guard was one of her team’s standout players across the three games.
In fact, Voracková finished the World Cup as the Czech Republic’s player with the most minutes per game, as well as its leading rebounder, averaging seven rebounds, and its top assist provider, with 3.3 assists per game. She was also her team’s third-leading scorer, averaging 11.7 points per game, and its second-highest-rated player, with an average of 14.7 credits.

Her return is therefore important news for Casademont as the team continues preparing its roster. With Voracková now back in training, Cantero can begin working with one of his most important players during a preseason designed to integrate the new additions and gradually welcome back the international players.
CASADEMONT’S PRESEASON
With Voracková arriving, several players are still to join the team. Mariona Ortiz will play in the World Cup semifinals against the United States this Saturday, while Helena Oma is representing Spain at the 3x3 European Championship, which ends this weekend. Nadia Fingall and Ornella Bankolé are also still involved in the WNBA season. Astou Ndour will join them, although her signing is dependent on her arrival in January.
Casademont is now entering the final stretch of its preparations before the official season begins. After opening preseason with a loss to Gernika in a game shaped by absences and the Basque side’s greater match fitness, the red-and-black team will play three more friendlies before the Super Cup.
Next week will bring a double-header against Athinaikos, who will also be in the same group during the first phase of the EuroLeague. The first game will be played on Friday at 20:30, while the second will take place on Sunday at 17:30 at the Príncipe Felipe and will be the Ibercaja Ciudad de Zaragoza Trophy. Preseason will then conclude on September 23 at 21:00 in Torres de Berrellén against Azul Marino New Travel.
