Kily's debut in the Inter Miami dugout will come this Wednesday against Cruz Azul in a Champions Cup match. He will be tasked with competing for every title, under pressure from having players of the caliber of Leo Messi and Luis Suárez in his squad.
HIS THREE YEARS IN ZARAGOZA
'Kily' González arrived in the Aragonese capital at the age of 22 from Boca Juniors, making Real Zaragoza his first experience outside his comfort zone. He quickly won over the La Romareda faithful with his superb left foot and his passion on the pitch.
During his three years with the Blanquillo side, he was one of the most popular players among Zaragoza supporters. He made 102 appearances in the rampant lion shirt, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists. However, his level was so high that in 1999 he packed his bags for Valencia to compete for league titles, cups and Champions League trophies, leaving behind a memory that still endures in the minds of Zaragoza fans as one of those players who embodied grit every time he stepped onto the pitch.
