The Azulgrana side were awful in attack, unable to create any real danger in front of the opposition goal, while in defense they were a shambles unbefitting of a team in this division. There are plenty of doubts and few certainties at the Huesca club, which has collected four points from a possible nine and, playing this way, cannot possibly return to the Segunda División.

Raúl Jardiel surprised everyone with his initial setup against Villarreal B, fielding an apparent back five made up of Víctor García, Djetei, Molina, Salva Ruiz and Iván Rodríguez. In reality, however, it was a back four with Iván playing as a left winger, although there was no fixed attacking reference. Meanwhile, Villarreal B started with a familiar face in Ayman Arguigue, who made his first start against his former team.
THE MATCH
The Huesca coach's plan was not working, as David Albelda's side dominated the match after the opening minutes. Evidence of that came with Gaitán's powerful effort from the edge of the area, which Gazzaniga had to push away with a fine save and the help of the post to prevent Villarreal B from scoring. Shortly afterward, Bonafé had a very clear chance, but his shot lacked precision and struck the crossbar. The opening 15 minutes were a Villarreal B monologue, while Huesca had no ideas about how to build any kind of play.
The pace of the game dropped noticeably for both teams, but Gaitán's quality came to the fore in the 35' minute. Following a simple move by Albelda's side as they built from midfield, he sent the ball into the back of the net with a low shot toward the far post beyond Gazzaniga. Huesca's defense was in constant disarray and the team was torn apart, something unforgivable against a Villarreal B side that combined several passes to reach the area, where former Azulgrana player Ayman headed home unchallenged to make it 0-2.
The teams went into the dressing rooms with the score at 0-2 and the feeling that Villarreal B were destroying Huesca's fragile defense whenever they stepped up the pace. Jardiel's tactical plan was completely wrong, as his team was unable to do anything properly in any area of the pitch. Either things changed drastically in the second half, or Huesca would suffer their first defeat of the season.
SECOND HALF
There was a total revolution after the break, with as many as three substitutions. Jardiel brought on Agustín Juárez, Sergi Enrich and Jimmy Suárez, clearly signaling his intention to mount a comeback by introducing two strikers. Sielva, surprisingly replaced despite being the captain, Iván Rodríguez and Douglas Aurelio left the field.
Huesca were unable to create any danger in front of the Castellón side's goal and were even closer to conceding a third than scoring their first. It was not until the 64' minute that Pascu produced a reasonably clear shot, which the Villarreal B goalkeeper caught comfortably. Even the change in tactics was not helping the Huesca side get closer on the scoreboard.
As the minutes passed, the Huesca side got worse, if that was even possible, and Villarreal B delivered the final blow through Albert García, who scored from inside the six-yard box without any opposition with 15 minutes remaining. There was not even the slightest hint of a goal to salvage some pride in front of their fans, and the match at El Alcoraz ended with that dismal image.
