It was initially said that he was not training because of a "workload distribution", but coach Ibai Gómez confirmed at a press conference that the Canary Islands-born striker is suffering from muscle discomfort and that they were still unsure whether to call him up for the match. Following this latest absence from another session, it is almost certain that the forward will not feature at El Pozuelo.
His absence leaves Joaquín Delgado as the only recognised option up front, although other players such as Pau Sans or Marcos Cuenca could occupy that position if necessary.
THE REST OF THE SQUAD AVAILABLE
Aside from Edu Espiau, Ibai Gómez has the rest of the squad fully fit for their third match of the season, in which the team must once again show the form it displayed in the second half against Antequera if they are to take all three points on the Costa del Sol.
