Both were flawless from the spot for Real Zaragoza. A 100% conversion rate on penalties in the blue-and-white shirt. However, the more impressive record belongs to the Madrid-born striker, who took five penalties and scored all five.
Dani Gómez took his first penalty two seasons ago, in the 2-4 defeat to Eldense at La Romareda. He then scored away from home on matchday 42 of that same campaign, with Real Zaragoza already clinging to their place in the second division. They lost 4-1 to Castellón.

Last season, the then-blue-and-white attacker scored from the spot against Málaga on matchday 17. He rescued a point for Real Zaragoza in the 95th minute, making it 1-1. His goal was not enough on matchday 34, when it failed to prevent a 1-2 defeat to Mirandés, and he secured a useless point in a 2-2 draw against Ceuta on matchday 36.
Dani Gómez is currently without a club. He has been without a destination since leaving Real Zaragoza, which came after the club's relegation to the third division.
MARIO SOBERÓN
Mario Soberón also has a perfect penalty record. However, he took two fewer spot kicks for Real Zaragoza in the second division, finishing with three. Every one of them found the back of the net.
The first came in Real Zaragoza's 2-1 victory over Levante. That day, Samed Bazdar scored the winning goal to move the blue-and-white side to the top of the table. Víctor Fernández was the coach at the time, and it was matchday 6 of the 2024/25 campaign. Soberón also scored against Córdoba on matchday 32, although the blue-and-white side were already hovering above the relegation zone.
He also scored in the 2025/26 campaign against Eibar, in a 1-2 victory played with one fewer player. He equalized in a match that the blue-and-white side would eventually win thanks to a shot that struck Sinan Bakis in the buttock.
