The Bajo Aragón side have taken just one point from a possible nine and remain in the relegation places. Kiko Ramírez's team are not playing badly, but their small squad is taking its toll in the second halves when it comes to dealing with fatigue.

Kiko Ramírez made few changes to the starting XI beyond the official debut of former Zaragoza player Andrés Borge at right-back, while all the other players had already featured in the Teruel side's previous matches. For this game, the coach decided to start with a two-man attack formed by Moraitis and Sergio Moreno.
THE MATCH
After an opening spell in which Jaén had possession, the first chances fell to the Andalusian side. Siverio had a point-blank effort that Zarco had to repel as best he could to prevent Jaén from taking the lead. Shortly afterwards, before the 20-minute mark, the striker had another opportunity after a quick counterattack, but the Teruel goalkeeper again produced a good save to keep the score level. Teruel could not find a way to impose their direct style of play and were at their opponent's mercy.
Kiko Ramírez's team began to see more of the ball, and Mario Sesé, the most technically gifted player in the Teruel side, came close to scoring after a fine dribbling run on the edge of the box, with his shot narrowly missing the target. Teruel grew in confidence and Gallardo headed a Joserra cross against the post, but the teams went into the break level at 0-0. The home side improved after being dominated by Jaén in the early stages and finished the first 45 minutes better than their opponents.
SECOND HALF
Teruel started the second half much better, with Borge and Sergio Moreno both having chances in the opening minutes after the restart, although neither found the net. The clearest opportunity, however, fell to Moraitis after a good cross from Sesé, but the Greek striker failed to make proper contact and his shot went wide.
To Teruel's misfortune, Jaén's goalscorer Marco Siverio appeared in the 63rd minute to volley a cross home and put the visitors ahead when the Teruel side were enjoying their best spell on the pitch. Kiko Ramírez tried to bring on fresh legs with the few options available to him because of his small squad in an attempt to turn the adverse result around.
Time was running out and Teruel were relying more on their spirit than their play as they tried to find an equaliser in the closing minutes. Despite their efforts, Real Jaén eventually secured the victory at Pinilla.
