"Jaca always has the same commitment and the same objectives: to reach the playoffs, make it to the final and, if possible, lift the trophy," Rivero explains about the goals of the Alto Aragonese club. In this regard, the coach highlights that "the club's philosophy is to continue supporting the youth academy. It would be very easy to sign foreign players to guarantee winning the league, but then you leave out many young players who have developed through Jaca's ranks".
Even so, CHJ will be going all out. For Rivero, the main concern at the moment is "building a good team and a playing identity. And making sure people feel comfortable. Making sure the players understand their role and that we stop being a group and become a team".
Meanwhile, the women's team, coached by Roberto Cajal, and the Under-18 side, led by Guillermo Lope, have also begun their ice training. Both will start their respective leagues on September 19, travelling to Madrid to face Majadahonda.
