The Zaragoza side was rock-solid in defense during the opening minutes, allowing just one goal in that spell of the game. However, the joy was short-lived as the La Mancha team struck several times against the Aragonese side to make it 5-9 and force Carlos Gómez to call a timeout. In the final minutes before halftime, the balance was restored on the court. Camas and Argentine player Della Rata beat Fuentes, while Wagner scored once more to put the Zaragoza side back in front. But the Guadalajara team refused to give way and tightened up in defense and goal, reaching halftime with the score level at 14-14.

The game remained closely contested, and with just over 10 minutes to go, the visitors held a one-goal lead. However, Joan Blanco's composure in directing play and a couple of crucial saves from Jorge Blanco, who took over in goal during the final moments, allowed the Guadalajara side to remain ahead in the closing stages and draw on their experience to seal the defeat.
BADA CLAIM THEIR FIRST WIN
Bada Huesca had to work extremely hard to beat BM Zamora at the Ángel Nieto sports hall. The game was very even at the start, until Dani Pérez and José Andrés Torres helped the Huesca side go into halftime with a five-goal lead (15-20).
The home side did not wilt despite the unfavorable scoreline and, through effort and determination, turned the game around to lead 30-29 with nine minutes remaining. But Nolasco's team showed great composure to produce a final 2-5 run and take both points from Zamora in their bid to return to the Asobal league this season.
