After being promoted from Segunda Federación, Béjar Caballero will make his Primera RFEF debut on the pitch of a stadium in Málaga that will host the third league round. The referee from Murcia, who has not yet officiated either of the first two matchdays, reaches the third tier after spending the last two seasons in Segunda RFEF, where he took charge of a total of 29 matches.
His most recent match, in fact, was not far from where he will make his Primera RFEF debut. The Murcia referee officiated the second-leg Estepona-Real Madrid C match in the Segunda RFEF relegation playoff, in which the Málaga side secured a heroic survival after overturning a huge points deficit during the final months of the season.
Javier Antolín and Juan Puche will serve as assistant referees, with Enrique Pareja as the fourth official, accompanying Joaquín Béjar on his debut at the Juventud de Torremolinos stadium. Real Zaragoza will be looking to claim their first away points of the season and continue their good run of results.
