Zaragoza's Most Terrifying Tenth Floor: Skeletons, Tombs and a Bloodstained Bed

Some people place a pumpkin at the entrance, hang artificial cobwebs on the door or simply turn off the lights to create some atmosphere. But at number 11 Gran Vía in Zaragoza, residents have decided to play in a different league. Neighbors have transformed the landing on their tenth floor into a genuine haunted-house attraction, with decorations that could easily serve as the setting for an all-American Halloween movie.
Zaragoza's Most Terrifying Tenth Floor: Skeletons, Tombs and a Bloodstained Bed

Skeletons everywhere, tombs, crosses, candles and even a peculiar animal cemetery make up this unsettling scene. There are also blood bags and bloody popcorn, while the walls, painted in fluorescent colors, add a psychedelic touch that turns the space into a true festival of frights.

One of the most striking corners is occupied by an old bed inside which someone appears to be resting, illuminated by a dim light. All of this is set beneath signs that leave no doubt that a genuine "Halloween Party" is being held there.

A REAL HAUNTED-HOUSE ATTRACTION

The setup is not the result of a last-minute improvisation. Its creators put the decorations in place several days in advance so the other residents can enjoy them and, especially, so the youngest children can get their own dose of excitement when they go from house to house in search of candy.
