In Aragon, local residents will be the ones to decide which of the two towns advances to the next stage of the competition. Voting will remain open until Sunday, November 8, at 11:59 p.m., giving residents, visitors and admirers of both towns two weeks to mobilize and help their municipality become Aragon’s representative.
ALBARRACÍN AND DAROCA, TWO ARAGONESE GEMS SEEKING TO SHINE THIS CHRISTMAS
Albarracín, in the province of Teruel, is one of Aragon’s most emblematic towns. Declared a National Monument in 1961, it is known for its narrow, steep stone streets, distinctive reddish-colored houses and the imposing wall surrounding its historic center. Its medieval charm and heritage make it one of the region’s major tourist attractions, and it is now seeking a new distinction with Ferrero Rocher’s Christmas lights.
Daroca, in the province of Zaragoza, is also hoping to become the town that lights up Christmas in Aragon. The town is known for its impressive walled enclosure, which once featured more than a hundred towers, as well as landmarks such as the Lower Gate. It also has a deep-rooted tradition linked to the Holy Corporals. The two municipalities will face each other in a direct contest in which every vote will be crucial to continuing in the competition.
HOW TO VOTE AND WHEN THE WINNING TOWN WILL BE ANNOUNCED
The 2026 edition of “Juntos Brillamos Más” will feature four stages of public voting. The first will end on November 8, and one day later, on November 9, the 17 municipalities that won their regional contests will be announced. An elimination stage will then begin, producing the five towns with the most votes; their names will be announced on November 30. The two finalists will be revealed on December 7, and the winner will be announced on December 14. The winning town will receive Ferrero Rocher’s Christmas lights.
To take part, citizens will be able to support their favorite town through Ferrero Rocher’s official website. Through this initiative, the brand aims to highlight the heritage, culture and traditions of Spanish municipalities. “At Ferrero Rocher, we are convinced that the true value of our country lies in the authenticity and uniqueness of each of its territories,” said Franco Martino, director of Communications and Institutional Relations at Ferrero Ibérica.
