Minute of Silence at Real Zaragoza for Rail Accident

A new railway accident—another one, this time in Toledo—shook every corner of Spain on Wednesday. Real Zaragoza paid tribute to the victims, with the squad and coaching staff observing a minute of silence for the 30 people who have died so far before training began.

Players and coaching staff were scheduled to begin a group training session at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. At that point, Real Zaragoza coach Ibai Gómez called the entire squad to Field 6 at the Ciudad Deportiva, including those who were due to work out in the gym.

All the Real Zaragoza players who were due to train formed a circle in the center of the field and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims. The death toll has already reached dozens, barely ten months after the accident in Adamuz, which claimed the lives of 46 people.

THE SESSIONS

The club trained from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday and is scheduled to do so again on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Friday's session is set for 5:30 p.m. at Ibercaja Estadio, the same venue where Real Zaragoza are due to play their match on Saturday the 31st at 9:00 p.m.
