“First of all, on behalf of the entire squad, coaching staff, staff, club… I want to send my condolences and strength. No words are enough, but it is the least we can do,” the Real Zaragoza coach began.

Regarding whether the matchday should be suspended or played, he said it was “a difficult issue to assess” and that “everyone sees it differently”. “Something this recent, in the short term, means that the subconscious will change certain plays. I wouldn’t know whether it should be played with the utmost respect or not played at all,” the coach said.

“It is difficult. The decision has been made, and I cannot say what the best way to approach it is. We will play in Demi’s name and that of his family to give them all the strength in the world,” he said before the Real Zaragoza – S.D. Huesca match.
