One of the issues the investigation will have to clarify is what triggered the assault. The Justice Department says the two prisoners had no record of incompatibility that would have suggested a possible confrontation between them. According to published reports, the alleged attacker had been moved to a different cell the previous afternoon.
The management of Quatre Camins, a prison located in La Roca del Vallès, has contacted the deceased man’s relatives and is providing them with the support available in such cases. The Mossos investigation and the autopsy results will now have to establish how the death occurred.
