Wind will also be a key feature in the south, with very strong easterly gusts in Cádiz during the first half of the day. There will be no rainfall, with only intervals of low cloud in the Strait area, Melilla, northern Galicia and some parts of the Cantabrian region, the eastern coast and the Balearic Islands.
Scattered patches of morning fog are likely in these areas, although the trend will be toward clearing skies. By the end of the day, cloud cover will probably increase along Galicia's Atlantic coast, with a possibility of coastal mist and fog. The Canary Islands will see low morning cloud along the coasts, giving way to mostly clear skies, as well as calima that could reach significant concentrations in the eastern islands.
UP TO 39 DEGREES IN BADAJOZ AND OURENSE
The highest temperatures forecast for this Monday include 39 degrees in Badajoz and Ourense, followed by 38 in Seville and 37 in Córdoba. Cáceres, Girona and Toledo will reach 36 degrees, while Zaragoza, Lleida, Logroño, Pamplona/Iruña, Jaén, Ciudad Real and Zamora will reach 35. At the other end of the scale, Teruel will record the lowest minimum temperature among provincial capitals, at 10 degrees, followed by Burgos and Soria, with 12.
