In his letter, Vivas also appeals for unity in the face of the difficulties affecting the autonomous city and hopes that September 2 will once again demonstrate that “unity and solidarity” are “the best expression of the commitment to Ceuta and Spain”. The text concludes with a forceful message: “Ceuta is not for sale; Ceuta must be defended”.
The president of Ceuta also insisted in another message posted on social media this Tuesday that the situation has still not returned to normal. “One month after July 30, Ceuta has still not returned to normal,” he said. Vivas explained that all the groups in the Assembly had conveyed a common position demanding “immediate action” from the Government and defended peaceful protests: “Violence does not represent us and only harms us”.

ARAGON JOINS THE CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR CEUTA
The mobilizations will also take place in Aragon. Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel will host rallies in support of Ceuta this Wednesday as part of the nationwide call. In the Aragonese capital, the event will take place at 8:00 p.m. in Plaza del Pilar.
Zaragoza Mayor Natalia Chueca called on residents to take part this Monday. “It is a gesture, but ultimately it is so that Ceuta’s residents can see that we support them and stand in solidarity with them from Zaragoza,” she said.
Chueca also said that the City Council was following events in the autonomous city “with great concern” and maintained that its residents were seeing “the normality of their lives and their security disrupted”. In this regard, she called for state support so that Ceuta can return to normal after the events of recent weeks.
